Smoky Mountain Ride
|
|
On a Saturday in May, 17 people on
11 bikes started their trek through the Smoky Mountains.
They traversed through Tennessee, North Carolina,
Kentucky, Illinois, Alabama, and Georgia. The
group traveled 2536 miles in nine days. Some of
their highlights were making it through Deals Gap, and
Ruby Falls. Rumor has it, some leaders were late
from the start, while others had to dodge hitting a
black bear. The group played in the snow and
learned to take curves at a steady pace, all while
making plenty of gas and food stops. The stories
of this trip will be told for many years to come, with
more plans and memories in the making.
