Kansas District Rally

| About 300 GWRRA
members, including several from Chapter P, attended the
Kansas District Rally in Winfield, KS September 22-23.
They included Rick & Robin Greninger, Ken and Gretchen
Diedrich, Cliff, Fern, and Kirby Smith, Doyle Woods (who
was a vendor), Collin and Lisa Caulley (Collin
pinstriped) and Dave and Cheryl Ward. Liz Nelson and
Marty and Carol Pope made a day ride to the rally on
Saturday, the 23rd. Kirby Smith proved he's a country
boy by winning the cow chip distance toss (a shower the
previous night helped to really cure the chips), Fern
Smith and Ken Diedrich won of the 50-50 money, and we
won the chapter cap (we used Cheryl's) and took second
in the chapter t-shirt (Kirby's). The theme was
"Barnyard Bash", and rural attire was the norm. Kirby
entered the light show, and several were among the 88 in
the Friday night parade around the city of Winfield.
Dave rode as a passenger on Cheryl's trike, nearly
surrounding Cheryl. Cheryl added some safety chrome from
a vendor. Thanks to KS District Directors John and Paula
Crow and their staff for putting on a fun weekend. |
